Why work visits?
The Transnational Exchange III Project was designed to connect repatriation counsellors on a European level. While the main connecting happens during the Transnational Exchange III events such as workshops and conferences there is a need to connect on a deeper level, to gain more insights into national best practice models and explore new partnerships. That is why work visits are carried out by the Transnational Exchange III staff. The visit to Belgium was crucial in that sense to understand how Caritas International Belgium realizes the close partnerships with reintegration organizations in the countries of return and acts as a focal point for several European repatriation counsellors through ERSO. The visit to Greece was explorative to acquire new contacts and bring Greek counsellors into the European Exchange of repatriation counsellors. IOM Greece, the only Provider of AVR assistance, was invited to the Transnational Exchange III Conference. These two examples give an idea of the aim of the Transnational Exchange Work visits. In the following, reports of the visits are displayed.
